Born to Make History - Coaster

This coaster was made this summer at my community studio. The design is based off of the anime, Yuri on Ice!!!, and the phrase "Born to Make History" is derived from the opening title track, History Maker by Dean Fujioka. The anime centers around a Japanese figure skater, Yuri Katsuki, hence the skating lines and boot around the words. This design was carved into the coaster face and filled in with Speedball's Black Underglaze. It was made with the glaze Clear, which is provided at my studio, and has a smooth, glassy feel to it. This piece is dishwasher and microwaveable safe.
